You can find a shelter or contact your local housing authority if you have little or no income. Tell them you need emergency housing because you have no place to go. They should be able to help set you up with something. Good luck.

Its beacuse you are in USA you are asking such meaningless questions. A wife has to bear whatever domestic problems come. In a company the CEO doesnot run away when there are problems!!!Similarly a woman is teh CEO of the house...if you have domestice problems...you are not a good housewife!! Become a better housewife and dont think of escapism

Check with your local YWCA or YMCA. If you don't have one, consult your closest hospital or doctor's clinic. They'll have information. There are shelters out there all over the place that people don't know exist that will provide you a place to stay and help you get on your feet. The reason they're "underground" is because they're also safe- and abusers can't find them.

Every area of the U.S. has shelters for people with no place to go. The first place I'd go is to the Salvation Army. They can steer you to the proper shelters and agencies that can help you get on your feet. Good luck.

Look in your local phone book under "Abuse". Usually in the government section. They will have shelters listed and it's a matter of finding one with an opening. If it's an immediate emergency, please call the police! Also, Catholic Charities is a good resource to call for suggestions. Please be safe and good luck!

try your yellow pages / phone book - for sheltered housing / domestic abuse (who have refuse houses)
contact your council for re-housing (temp or permanant - can even be done in different areas if you need to get away from someone)
book yourself into a b& b - hotel
try friends / family
