Ok, so I deconstructed my computer, in a System Recovery, because it wouldnt let me onto anything. Everythings went fine. Except I kept getting this warning saying I STILL couldnt run things. I figured it was a virus, and turns out , it sure enough is.
Its call the Win23.Spybot. worm or something. And apparently it channels or sends things out on my ICR address, or something. But when I tried to delete it and fix it, it said it was unable to do that.
Anyone have any idea what to do, and/or how I got this? I tried to get some help online through Nortons Website, and they said to right click my computer in the start menu, then go to properties, then turn off System Restore, but when I try that, I get that same rundell.//Can not access.Win23 error message...

Hello,
I appreciate your delimma. What you need to do here is clean your computer in a thorough scan. Manual removal, at this point is not going to work for your problem.

You need a tool that WORKS !!!
Obviously your Norton sucks. But all Norton users discover that eventually. I'll give you a free tool that works, but first you must get rid of the one that doesn't.
Worse - Norton is a memory HOG. So dump it.

Get a streamline program to do the same job BETTER

How?
1. Go to Add/Remove Programs
2. REMOVE everything Norton
3. Go to www.AVAST.com > download their FREE anti-virus software > Home Edition
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html
Run it to do a THROUGH scan of your C drive.
It will find the problem(s) and give you the option to DELETE. Do that.
Then leave Avast run all the time.
It has been an DEPENDABLE
NON hoggy program
that catches everything excellent.

If you decide to keep Norton...you are deciding to live with a program that works only part time; has horrid compatibility problems causing slow operation of all your programs, including IE
because it is such a Ram hog.

stw.

Spyware removal is a pain in the butt. First try to use spbot (searching download.com should bring it up, dont forget to update it first). Also try to use windows defender it seems to work pretty well to.

If that doesn't work you can manually remove it however it gets pretty diffcult if your not an advanced user. If you can try to find the name of the .exe (or dll or other exectuable binary) using the task manager or sysinterals process explorer (i reccomend the sysinternals one, it can be found at sysinternals.com). From there you can try to stop the process if your lucky the process will not start back up then all you have to do is locate the file on the hard drive and delete it. Of course be careful when doing this, you could cause some system damage if your not familiar with computers i wouldn't try to delete the malicous file without know more about it. You can also often times fine removal directions on anti virus web sites try typing the virus name into trendmirco.com or mcafee.com
