How are we supposed to answer that without more information? Where do you live, what are you grades like, what were your SAT scores, what are your finances like? Do you want to be close to home or far away, do you want to go to a big school or a small one? Are you a candidate for sports scholarships? There are a LOT of factors that go into choosing a college, kiddo, and almost as many factors that go into getting accepted at the college you want to go to. What was right for me isn't necessarily going to be right for you, because everybody's wants and needs are a little different. Do some research at your guidance counselor's office, and then go visit some schools to see what interests you.

Where are you?
Anyway, today's philosophy on choosing a college is "best fit". What field of work do you want to go into? Do you like large class sizes (100-200 students in a lecture hall), or small classes (15-20 students in a classroom)? Do you prefer a city setting? What city?

Of course, cost is a big factor. If you live nearby a good U, you can live at home (!) to save big bucks. Also, check to see what scholarships or grants are available. For example, if you want to be a teacher and you're a "minority", you can probably get a tuition break.

Ask your local librarian for books that will list colleges and u's, including average class size, professor/student ratio, cost, etc. You can also find books about scholarships, like the one I mentioned.
