Go borrow from a library this book: "The Secret Societies Handbook", by Michael Bradley. It gives info about 21 secret societies, among them the Illuminati, the Freemasonry, Knights Templar, Ku Klux Klan, Opus Dei, The Priory of Sion......
It's really enlightening!
