After I stopped taking the pill, I got pregnant the next month. We had twins (already had one child as well). I had been on the pill for 2 years....the advice is to use protection for 3 months after you stop the pill. We didn't and I honestly believe my body was releasing extra eggs because of the BC pills and my hormones not being normal. Good luck to you!

Well my husband and I are both very healthy, we are 21 and I've off birth control since the end of April and Im still not pregnant. I was 3 months ago but I had a miscarriage, and I was only on the pill for like 2 years. I think you have a good chance of getting pregnant right after, but it my not be the healthiest decision for your baby. Wait a couple months, so that you can work on getting yourself healthy, by taking pre-natal vitamins, get all the cigaretts, alchol, drugs out your system, if you do that stuff. Then start trying. Also with that time you'll learn more about your body so that you'll be able to track when your ovulating and most fertile. That is the problem I had! Not knowing, for the past 4-5 months I've been trying to get pregnant on the wrong days. Well wish us luck I will know in a week in a half I am, hopefully I targeted the right days. Well good luck to you! Email me if you can saida7186@yahoo.com

Hello I think you should talk to your doctor or an obgyn and it depends on the birth control you where on if you where on the pill i think it want talk long at all but my sister was on the shot for 4years (before they made the law you can only be on the shot for 1years and mabee 2years depends on your weight) well after she chose not to take the shot and try to concieve she had a miscarriage and bleed for three months studies show that being on birth control for over 2years is not good for your system. I hope I was some help good look

I stopped taking my birth control after 11 years and I was pregnant in 2 months so it is possible but each person is different. The more you are trying the harder it will be. After the first month we got discouraged and stopped thinking about it and after the 2nd month did not even think about being pregnant until I realized I had missed my cycle. Good luck.

Well it depends on the person and how their body works. I was kind of in the same situation, I was on the pill for a few years and when we decided to have another one I went off of it. I had a nurse friend tell me that it takes about three months for the pill to get out of your system and not to expect anything till then but I didn't care and we did our thing and I knew that I was pregnant the first month after getting off of the pill. I had already had two kids, and she kept telling me that I'm not but sure enough I was pregnant with my little man! Just don't stress about it and have fun, some may think it's gross but also try when you're on your period, you're more likely to get pregnant then (hormones). Good luck to you guys!

I have known many women (including myself) to get pregnant within the first two months after stopping BC. I read that this is really common, because of the eggs are settled and they are not moving around a lot due to something in the BC (I think it was estrogen, but I'm not sure)

Depends on what type of birth control it is. The pill, depo? My friend got pregnant the first month off the pill.

what birth control were you on that makes a difference. but different people are different so it is hard to give an accurate answer, I got pregnant with my son while i was on the depo shot. but now i am not on anything and havent been for a year and havent gotten pregnant yet so it all differs from person to person

Good Luck! I was on the shot for 4 years and i been off for 2 years and i've been trying to have a baby and me and my husband hasn;t had any luck yet. I've been to my Dr. and she said i'm fine. So i guess it depends on if god wants to have a baby.
