Like in the movie Shallow Hal if we were all made to see people's inner beauty as physical beauty would that eliminate the need for surgery to make people look better or feel better about themselves and get rid of all those rude and inappropriate comments that people make about other people who aren't afraid to willing express themselves etc? It would sure be allot easier for people to get dates that's for sure.

It would be great if the world was a less shallow place. Many women and young girls would have an easier time learning how to love themselves the way they are. And many problems, like eating disorders, might become a more infrequent occurrence.

But if we made everybody look like who they are on the inside, it wouldn't remove the shallowness. People would be just as shallow about how they saw people, only it would be about inner beauty, not outer. The rude comments and judgmental behavior would still exist. Like when Hal saw the young, sexy girl as an old old woman. He was still being a jerk, just about a better part of her. She was beautiful on the outside, but ugly on the inside. So maybe the world would get even more shallow because all the beautiful people would also have great personalities, and all the ugly people would be judged as being jerks.

YES I totally think so !! But unfortunately all most people see is the outter beauty of people. The media and magazines all make this seem normal and make people go over all their flaws and what needs to be fixed and focus more on their negatives then on their positives and gives them such low self esteem issues. There is so much more to people than their looks! A lot of people dont have the money to dress like movie stars, they cant help how they were born to look .... I have met some less attractive people that had the greatest personality and the sweetest kindest heart which made them beautiful but people wouldn't take time to get to know them that way. If you look back at paintings from years ago they painted larger women and that was acceptable then, now days if you arent skinny then you aren't as accepted and as popular and thats not cool either.

There are a lot of "ugly" people on the inside too. I think if you want to see people for what's inside, that's great! You should do that, and so should a lot of others, but it isn't always that easy in the world we live in. When I am interested in someone it is mostly due to what is on the inside, and then the outside just keeps getting better looking in my eyes because their true beauty shines through. But people who aren't mature enough to think like that just won't, and wanting to change someone is never okay. Let the dogs be dogs. There is no law that says you have to date someone shallow.

I think as long as we take time to get to know one another and as long as we all treat people the way would would like to be treated life would be just fine for all.But in all reality to many people judge before they get to know someone so yes i think it would make a little differnce.
