I heard some idiot saying that rememberance services should be the subject of health and safty rules. That stewards should shepherd the ex service men and women, and that the parade should only be allowed to go ahead if public liability insurance was purchased.

it's got to be the banning of the use of black board and black sheep- I mean black people don't find this offensive- why would they? I would think that apparteid and the klu klux klan was hideously offensive. Rather than worry about the plight of black inner city kids, some left wing overpaid white phoney has wanted to ban baa baa black sheep- when some sheep are black and black boards need to be that colour to see white chalk on. I think it is an insult to intelligent black people- although even that tag is stupid- o.k as a description such as red hair etc but reallly we are all people.

All political correctness is the stuff of the Bizarro World to me. Really, I often think I somehow slipped into a strange parallel universe.

I think the whole hate crime thing is the strangest. Hard enough for a jury to decide if a person is simply guilty of a crime. Now if the criminal was white and the victim some other color, or gay, the jury has to decide what he was thinking when he committed the crime? But if the criminal was a minority it doesn't matter what they were thinking. Strange.

I heard yesterday on the London news that the Oxford street xmas lights should be on a time limit because it's not environmentally friendly and would save energy if they were on for a shorter period of time!!. Cant we just enjoy them. After all it is only once a year.

This goes back a bit. But when I was young, I had to eat fish sticks in public schools on Friday because Catholics could not eat red meat. This practice goes back more that 50 years. BTW, there were no Catholics in our schools. Maybe in the large cities and in coastal towns, but not out in the country.
Ridiculous, yeah.

I'm going with the banning of tag for fear that children will get hurt and have their feelings hurt if they are always "it".
