I believe some of us do, the problem is that the media is heavily influenced by corperate sponcers, who crindge at anything anti Israeli, and some of the executives at CBS,NBC, FOX, & ABC have Jewish board members. Prior to world war II the jewish people had been gone from this area for a couple of thousand years. The Arabs have always been there then one day Ben Gugarian and his boys show up and say hey this is our land given to us by God , see its written in our book so you gotta leave, well the Arabs in the area who've been there throughout time took offense at that idea of forced eviction. And thus todays probelms began. Remember during the six day war Isralie fighters attacked a us war ship in international waters, and nothing was said or done. We went to war in Viet Nam based on the Gulf of Tonkin incident when a North Vietnamese gun boad did the same thing.

Israel was legally created out of the dismemberment of the Ottoman Empire at the end of World War I. The area was desolate – desert and swamp – with some small towns and a few inhabitants, many of them nomads.
The inhabitants, if they thought about it at all, considered themselves Syrians. The legitimacy of Israel arises from the Balfour Declaration issued by the British, who were given the mandate over the area by the League of Nations. Jews have lived in the country since Biblical times. The Arabs from the surrounding areas were lured to “Palestine” by the industry and prosperity that the Jews brought to the region. Envy, hatred, and religious fanaticism turned the Arabs against the Jews. In bloody outrages, horrible massacres, killings and rapes, the Arabs tried to dislodge the Jews, but were unable to do so.
In 1947, the British, having tired of the trouble and the bloodshed, resigned their mandate. That same year, the United Nations mandated partitioning of the territory. The Jews, though disappointed, accepted the partition. The Arabs rejected it out of hand and launched war against Israel. The armies of five Arab countries invaded the nascent state. Following the exhortations of the invaders, the Arab residents got out of the way hoping to return after victory was attained. They could then reclaim their property and that of the Jews, all of whom would have been killed or would have fled. That and that alone is the source of the Arab “refugee problem.”
Had the Arabs accepted the UN partition plan, there would now have been a state of “Palestine” for the last 58 years. They might have attained a similar level of prosperity, advancement, and development as Israel, which, small though it is, is today in almost every regard one of the world’s most advanced countries.
Instead they prefer to hate, and blame, and kill, and be killed.

I am well aware of the history of the land, and, sure it was originally Palestinian rather than Isreali land (if you go back to when this whole conflict started rather than back to "Biblical" times, when those two peoples lived together in relative peace). What matters now is not who was there first, but how the Palestinians and Isrealis- who, after a couple of generations, have as much right to call that land home as people in the United States have to call what was once Native American land home- can live in harmony in the present.

I don't think so. The Zionists basically control the US media. Most Americans believe everything being said on the regulated US media about the Israeli Palestinian conflict. Six decades of conflict is just too long. Israel is a country that has been established by war criminals and racists. A country is built from love, not from hate. Israel has every right to exist and so does Palestine as was defined by the UN in 1948. It is Israel that's occupying the Palestinians, not the other way around.

Sucks to be Palestinian - with nothing but seething hatred and no government, no economy, no hope, and only bullets and bomb-vests to eat.
This can be blamed on those who have led the Palestinians for the past 60 years. All they offered was their hatred for Jews. All they build was a corrupt and cowardly criminal terrorist machine. They've not done a damn thing for their people, not built anything for their people, not cared for their people.
What Golda Meir said decades ago still holds true today - there will be peace when they love their children more than they hate Jews.

Israel didn't steal anything from the Palestinians. The British stole it when they made Israel. Don't blame it on Israel.

What I never understood is why the UN never established a permanent peace keeping force when they established Israel.
Given the volatility in the region, fueled by religion and scarcity of resources, someone had to know that it required more than just hoping things would eventually work out.

Israel is a SOVEREIGN NATION. They can defend themselves if they feel it's necessary. And it's not a one-sided conflict. Too many people err on the side of Anti-Semitism. I'm tired of it. Leave them alone.
