I took a pregnancy test last night. My period isn't even technically late yet but it should be coming this weekend...I couldn't wait. I got one of the First Response ones that are supposed to tell you five days before your missed period. I took it and it took a few minutes and there was a VERY faint 2nd line in the window. The first line was very plain and dark but there's a second you can only barely see.
Am I only seeing a shadow where the second line WOULD be if I were pregnant or am I taking my test kind of soon so the test detected minimal amounts of the pregnancy hormone? I'm going to retest after the weekend (provided my period doesn't show up) and see what happens. Just wondering if this ever happened to anyone else and if you were ever pregnant and got the "barely able to tell" second line.

Oh, and I did read it in the alloted time frame...I waited after 3 minutes after doing it to even look but didn't bother with it after 10 minutes had passed bc it says they aren't valid after that

Congratulations!! You may be pregnant!!

Everyone has told me if there is any indication of a second line then the pregnancy hormone is in your body! :)

My first test the line was faint, but there was a line... The second test about 3 days later it was very positive! I hope things work out for the best for you!! :)

Wow, I thought I was the only one. I would suggest waiting till after the weekend to get your hopes up but I can say that I had the faint line and stopped on my way to work and bought another one to take in the restroom. I brought it back to my desk and pulled it out several times and even used different lights and had myself convinced that it was negative until a friend came up and caught me looking at it. After she took a glance she was like OK there is a line there just accept that it is true. After 7 tests well I was pregnant and I have a wonderful 3 month old. I would suggest taking a test that actually has the words pregnant/not pregnant because you can not second guess that one. It is a little more expensive but no guessing to it.

It takes a even as for the hormones to construct up, so it's more often than not told to attend 7 days once you pass over your interval earlier than trying out, the faint line way with ease the scan has handiest picked up a small quantity of hormone for your urine. But did you scan with the primary urine you handed while you aroused from sleep within the morning, since the hormones get diluted because the day is going on and also you drink fluids and urinate. But even a faint line is a confident. You will have many fake terrible outcome, however handiest very very not often do you get a fake confident. Don't fear, having a faint line has not anything to do with the wellbeing of your being pregnant, however as you had a miscarriage, organize antenatal care instantly to be at the reliable part.

Congratulations!! We are on the same boat. I am now 10 days pregnant and technically haven't missed a period. I know I am 10 days pregnant because I was/am charting my cycle to get pregnant.

A faint line is a line. It should get darker in a few days. Why is it faint? Well, I think it's because teh egg just implanted and have just barely started producing the HCG hormone. Like you I tested about 6 days after my ovulation and got a faint line. I tested again yesterday and it was brighter.

Again, congrats!

This happened to me, I got a very faint line and when I started to read the instructions it indicated that it did not matter if the line was faint or not. To make a long story short, I did turn out pregnant and I just had my baby boy on Nov. 2nd... Congratulations to you, you might be pregnant.

Congrats your pregnant! A faint line means you are pregnant, When I took my pregnancy test it showed up as a faint line. If you look in the instruction booklet for the test it should tell you the same thing.

Yes, it means you are pregnant! This happened to me and I called the 1-800 number on the side of the box. The nurse there told me that ANY kind of a line, no matter how faint was a positive!
Congrats!

I took a test and had the faint line and it was a dud. BUT that doesn't mean yours is. Retest Monday even if you get your period because I had a full period when I was pregnant with my twins. Good Luck!!!

it would depend on if you read the test in the allotted time, if you read it later than what it says then it could be an evaporation line. But generally they say a line is a line is a line. If so congrats and good luck!
