It depends on the traffic flow. Consult some Feng Shui books and perhaps it will help.

As a geographer I'd need to know your general location, the general terrain, the climate zone and type of business. If you are in a desert area you probably want your front door away from prevailing winds and either toward the winter sun if you are in a hot desert or toward the summer sun if you are in a cold desert.

Do customers walk to your business or drive there? Face the business where the customers will be most protected from your worst weather.

Is your inventory heat sensitive or light sensitive? Build walls solid on the sides that can protect inventory and open where people come and go.

If you have a university in your city call the geography dept and ask for urban geog. Usually geog profs love to help you understand your particular area. Good question and the answer is "it depends" Good luck !

It really depends on several things. The flow of foot traffic and the flow of automobile traffic. Are you on a dead end street or a busy thoroughfare? Each situation can be different. Good Luck.
