I have bought several fake dvd's off ebay sold as originals and also several items I have bought knowing them to be fake, for example I bought 100 psp games on a disc for £5 so obviously they were going to be fake.
Ebay do try to remove listings and sellers that break any laws where it can be proved that the goods are fake. It can be hard sometimes as often the fakes can be very real looking and hard to spot.

I've been ripped off on a Dior bag and even after complaining to trading standards and eBay, the seller continued to sell for many months....eBay make a profit on both fake and authentic goods, their isn't much of an incentive for them to seriously stamp it out.

They should be in as much as they are trading but different rules may apply to auctions than goods bought in more conventional ways. I know people who use Ebay and to register you sign up to a terms and conditions which include refunding your buyer if they are unhappy with the goods they bid for and bought. Not sure of all the ins and outs but for sure con artists will be exploiting every loophole there is to be found.

placed it all the way down to adventure. those who promote fakes do not loiter round. trading criteria can purely capture them even as they're trading lower than an similar call. they'll have moved on some cases in view that then.

It's a bit of a lottery with eBay. My boyfriend buys stuff from there all the time and so far he's been very lucky. It depends on what goods you mean, he's usually buying mobile phones and they were all good.
