okay first of all its okay if you wear glasses. and you dont have to wear popular clothes either! to be cool or popular you can wear your every day clothes but YOU have to make them cool! they dont have to already be cool. YOU make sh1t cool not sh1t make you cool!

Well, the biggest thing is ... get older. The further you go in your education, the less you'll stick out as being smart and hardworking. I was considered a nerd in highschool, by the time I got to university I was considered fairly wild. I didn't change that much, its just that all the people who were dumber or studied less then me hadn't made it into the school I was at.
I realize that doesn't help you now, though its important to know that things really will get better.
At school, focus on your work, your teachers - but be as nice as possible, and _open_ to the possibility that there will be kids who want to be friends with you. Outside of school, try to find some hobbies or activities where you can make other friends.

Oh wow. I am proud of my nerd-ness.
My guess is you are in middle or high school. Keep in mind popularity isn't everything, in fact, most people you know now will fade away and you'll never see them again. You don't have to be popular to have good loving friends.
Also, being smart is something you should be so proud of. You will get so far in life and I promise that it'll be a great thing when you get a bit older.
I suggest just finishing school and doing well for yourself. Stop worrying about your image because there are more important things in life, even at a young age

Aw, honey. There's no quick fix for this. Keep being yourself--don't be ashamed of being smart and doing well in school. Be proud of yourself, and put your best face forward: be friendly and nice to others, and keep up with your personal hygiene (nerdy girls are generally better about this than nerdy boys, but it's worth a mention). Don't give them anything new to tease you about.
Try to find friends outside of school. Take an art class, join a local swim team that's not school-affiliated, look up cool summer camps for smart kids, try out for a local theater, take up tae kwon do. There are tons of activities that could be really fun for you and would put you in contact with other kids around your age who don't go to your school, and the activity will give you something to talk about. When you know you've got friends no matter what those jerks at school say, you'll feel more confident and that'll come through.
Finally? Just keep being yourself, and hang on until you get to college. You might not find your people until you get there, but they're out there somewhere, so don't give up hope.

You don't have to be popular to make good friends. There's nothing wrong with being smart...contrare. On the other hand, you shouldn't be a teacher's pet because he causes the other students to feel hate/envy against you. You don't have to be popular to not be a nerd...you can just be in the middle...be you and accept who you are. Wish you well.

Smart is good as long as youre not a smarty pants. Teachers pet is bad unless youre doing the teacher. Poularity is all about socializing. Stand out in a good way, go to parties and initiate conversations, games (like keg stands, chugging contests, etc). Fake it till you make it.

It depends on how you carry yourself. Wearing name brand clothes will help some. So....stay up on the fashion. Maybe even join a sport at the school. If you are a teachers pet, try not to be. Most of the student don't like that.

maybe what you should do is stop bragging about your grades so people dont know that you are smart. also you can try bying clothes at abercrombie and at holliister thats where a lot of people that are popular including me shop. you can also try to hang out with the kids that are popular at your school and get a really popular boyfriend. hopefully that gives you some help good luck.

Nothing will work if you are not being yourself. You don't have to be "popular". It is enough to have good friends. Soon you will see that it is a big world and it is more interesting if everybody is not the same.

Don't be a teacher's pet, that will usually make your classmates jealous and make them start resenting you.
