Your oppose to wear something stretchy so that you can stretch right and appropiate, so you can do splits, and other things that cheerleaders do. I use to cheer for 2.5 years in a row and I loved it!! I would wear a tight fitting shirt, I mean, not tight but it just fit like, it hugs my body. You know what I mean? And some sweat pants rolled up to my knee. Make sure you have an appropiate pair of shoes that support you ankles such as, High Top Air Forces tied all the way so that it supports your ankles, like I said. You know what I mean? Or just any type of shoes that goes up to your ankles. Don't wear your hair down because it will get in the way of what you are doing. Keep you hair tied up or braided in a way wear it won't get in your way. Make sure your loud and do your very best so that people would look at you and be like " That girl know how to cheer her a** off!!!" You know what I mean? Be On Q!!! That's what you want. Being a cheerleader you know you look good and you ain't with it. Put your own little style in your cheering. Do Not Follow, Be A Leader!!! Don't wear some short a** shorts because then you are letting people know that your nasty, you know what I mean? Be hype about it, let people know who you are, let people see how much you really want to be on the team or just a cheerleader period.
You can by a tight fitting shirt at Steve & Barry's, Old Navy, Wal Mart, and just all other types of stores, I mean, the stores I listed that's wear I got my shirts from. Get a size probaly smaller than what you wear so that it could just fit and not be so loose, you know what I mean? You can get the sweat pants from Wal-Mart.
Do Not Wear the same thing to every practice because people would look at you and think your dirty! Be as clean as possible because your a cheerleader and most cheerleaders stay clean, they don't stink and repeat their clothes over and over! You might also gain popularity in your school if your that good. Exspecially if you in High School! Oh, And If Your Stomach Is Big, then don't wear no tight fitting shirt because that would look trifline. Take care and have fun!!!

oh dear, when you are hitting gym class, don't oversee comfort for fashion sense. you might wear one thing and end up with a split pants, a heat stroke or bad ankle sprain! what you should wear for a gym class is a cotton shirt/tank top (if you are girl) and then some cotton shorts/jogging pants, and some rubber shoes (doesn't matter what brand) as long as they are designed for cross training purpose, this will prevent any injury, if you don't wear the right rubber shoes, it can't give you the right support for the activity that you will be engaging in. for track team try outs, you can just settle for a running shoes, comfy and breathable shirt/top and shorts (sports not summer). basically if you want to buy all the accessories and gym wear, you can go to adidas, puma, nike or other sports shops. most of the time they have all the things you will need. goodluck on your try outs ok?

wow you are wayyy over-thinking this. It's cheerleading practice, not freaking Fashion Week. Just wear whatever t-shirt you have from former sport teams and Soffee shorts with white tennis shoes and whatever socks you have. Wear your hair in a ponytail or a side braid. Even I wouldn't make a Polyvore for sports practice, and that's saying something because I over think everything...

I would go and get some soffees (just plain cotten shorts) that you can find at most athletic stores like Big 5 or city sports. As for sweat pants I would go with some yoga pants that are flattering and comfortable. As to the shirt problem either go with a tank top or I like to work out in boys undershirts that I get from Target. Good luck!

Wear tight clothes, think, dance clothing, but not too tight that you look like a tramp.
Keep your hair pulled back in a tight neat ponytail.
Don't chew gum, don't wear makeup, and don't wear jewelry.
A fit baby tee or sports bra on top, and some soffe shorts (special for cheerleading and PE) would work great. I'll give you the website for soffe.
Good luck at cheer tryouts!

You are joking, surely you have a tee-shirt that you can wear. It doesn’t matter what it looks like just as log as it doesn’t say anything rude. Also a pair of Nike shorts would do fine if you don’t have one just go shopping at the weekend and buy 2 pairs. Go to any department store, go to the fitness section and just pick 2 pairs of shorts and 2 tee-shirts to begin with

Definitely not Victoria's Secret.
You want something that will allow you freedom of movement, without bunching or bagging on you the way sweats can do. Look for cotton or cotton blends for a more comfortable fabric, and something that is fitted enough so that you can show off your moves. When it's specifically for cheerleading, they want to see you, not your clothing. And make sure you have both warm and cold weather practice wear. You will be spending time outside, and you want to be comfortable in varying kids of weather.
If it was me, I would go to a cheaper store for the items, there is no need to spend $80 on a pair of pants when it's just for cheerleading try-outs and possibly practice, and not a need for exercise attire. So go to somewhere like Wal-Mart, Target, TJ Maxx, Marshall's, etc.... where you can get the same style of things for much less.
