I sincerely hope that you did not purchase. Nortons has been junk for many years and continues to get worse each an every year. Does not know when your system is hit with a virus, or if it did, is unable to remove. (You will think the virus has been removed, still in your system). Plus when you go to add/remove and think that Nortons has been removed. You are in for a shock as Nortons leaves behind 350 plus fragments glued to all your files and hidden all over your system.

You are going to play hell trying to get the fragments out. The best of computer techs., hate having to try and remove Nortons & the fragments left behind. The fragments cause serious conflict with your system.

For nine years I have used Avast an I never had one virus. Their free version is the same as the purchased corporate version. They just make corporate pay. Avast has one of the very best background scanners, they really catch a virus in real time and destroy before the virus can get into your system. Plus you will get two or three times per day automatic updates.

They will ask you for your email so they can send you a free key that is good for one year. After one year, you just request another key.

Excellent free for home use firewall I use. Zone Alarm. http://www.zonealarm.com Updates daily if needed, an all new versions are downloaded free on an auto. basis for installation.

I don't know about norton and don't want to know. If u need a good firewall and anti virus, I suggest Zone alarm firewall and AVG anti virus. Both are available in free and and paid versions.
