your parents should be taking you to the doctor not telling you to go
it is unfortunate it took your teacher to notice especially since you live with them
they will not hate you
that is part of the problem you somehow feel you are not good enough
that is not true
every person has human worth
get councilling and the help to find out why you feel so bad about yourself
it is an illness that is more common than you think
you have to face it your life is at stake

Eating disorders such as Bulimia and Anorexia often claim the lives of the victims it consumes. You will need professional help to over come this, along with the support of your family. They dont and will never hate you, they just want you healthy and well. It will be a long process, but I do hope you are one of the people who can beat this, and go onto having a fabulous life, one that is not focused around food and exercise.

Hi Beci,
I think you've done the right thing in telling your parents because now you're on the way to being able to get help.
If you don't want to go to the doctors straight away, how about trying to find some local support groups and then you will be able to get help and meet young people with the same problem.
My best mate had anorexia and I ended up telling her Mum because I was so worried for her, she ended up getting help and now thanks me for it.
Your parents main concern will be your wellbeing because they love you and want to see you get better. It's very common so have a look online and see whether there are any groups/clinics in your area!
Good Luck xx

I'm sorry to hear that you are having such a hard time. I think that you really should go to the doctors if you are bulimic. Not for your parents but for you. You need to do this for your self and your future. You want to make yourself better not watch you self waste a way. Well its just my opinion. But I know that one day your going to want to have a family and to be happy you will never be able to do that if you sick.

Your parents will never hate you. They will be scared for you and worried about you but they will not hate you.
Maybe they want to take you to the doctor so that they can have it explained to them. Everyone needs help with dealing with this and the doctor can be the place to start. No one will be judging you, they only want to help.
It is not easy being a parent either. When your child has problems, they are your problems too.

Sweetheart, it is good that you have admitted you have an eating disorder ...I hid mine for years and years, very successfully....what you need now is to get the right kind of help...try not to be too scared, be brave...this is the first step on a road to recovery...if you don;t get the help it will blight your life forever. When I was younger, it wasn;t even that recognised and so help wasn't available, I am not 41 and still have bulemic tendencies...it is a nightmare that will be with me for the rest of my life......I can control it for most of the time...but get caught out every now and again.....will your parents or a friend accompany you to the docs...or would you prefer to go to a youth counselling place instead....please please consider taking that step and getting the help..its out there for you. If you ever want to chat...mail me...ok? Take care and thinking of you hunny.....hugs xx

the first thing u must understand is that it is a disease, and it is not you fault, go and get some help you are harming your body and will never have a good life, go and learn how to eat healthy, that will keep you thin amd make you feel so much better and also look better, when you deprive you body of what it needs you get poor skin tone, and color, get some friuts and vegies going, and some protein and you will look more bueatiful then you ever thought possible, stay away from junk food that's what makes you fat.
good luck

Beci calm down, your obviously very upset and feel betrayed by your teacher, I am sure she is very concerned about you and didn't tell your parents out of spite, your parents obviously love you very much too and are right, I am sure they don't hate you but are just upset and very worried for you and you really should go to the doctor, Bulimia isn't something you can sort out yourself, your doctor isn't going to shout at you or condemn you either, he/she is going to help you get the advice and help you need to deal with bulimia, there are some lovely people out there today to help you deal with it, don't be ashamed or hide it anymore, please go to the doctor and ask your mom or a good friend to go with you for support, please do it Beci and good luck.
