I've upgraded from IE6 about a week ago and - unlike quite a few people on here - altho' no-one ever moans when things go right - I've had no trouble whatsoever with it (touch wood!).
Mind you, my PC does also have Firefox pre-installed, and I will have a go with this over the weekend as well.

Microsoft had a chance to deliver something special with IE7 yet it falls far short of the mark, a significant proportion of it is IE6 and in true Microsoft fashion they've just added more features and changed the front end. Could you expect anything more? They've been doing that with the operating systems for years. IE6 is probably the most patched product ever made, I'm sure IE7 will follow the tradition. Also, many of the additional security features in IE7 are only available when it's used with Windows Vista.
Firefox 2 is without any doubt a far superior product.

IE7 has fewer features than Mozilla and Opera, works only under Win XP SP2 and I've heard of many troubles from people who use IE7. My choice is Mozilla Firefox. For a long time I've used Opera but recently understood that Mozilla has at least the same number of features and works faster.

I've been using IE7 for some time since it was in Beta and coupled with the outstanding windows live toolbar + onfolio, I've been impressed by its generally slick performance. However, I am using custom security settings and have disabled certain third party browser extensions to boost performance.

Browsing seems to be slower. I get a lot of the "waiting for..." messages. I do like the tabbed browsers and multiple homepages, but I miss my "stop" button.

Personally, I'd stay with FF. I like tabbed browsing but that is not enough to get to change. Of course some site don't like FF and one has to keep IE on board anyway.

A standard company website that I use, doesnt display correctly on IE7.
The company knows and is looking into the issue, so you could say that it is an issue with their website rather than an issue with IE7..........
however, it works OK on IE6 browsers, opera and firefox

Apparently (from what I hear because I haven't used it yet) it is as good as it looks. No major faults found yet :)
