As the saying goes "Those who do not understand history are destined to repeat its mistakes". We are not isolated, we come from a past and are going into a furture. We in the united states come from almost every country in the world and even those who founded our country were from various culture background and ideas. Without a global perspective of history, we cannot hope to understand the modern countries of today. That is why we study world history in school, because every important event in history, no matter where is occured, has made an impact in our modern life.
