Tilex soap scum remover, but if you want avoid have the soap scum completely then switch to liquid soap. Bar soap is usually what leaves the residue.

I use straight white vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray, let sit a moment then rinse clean. Scum comes right off.

Or if you don't want to use straight vinegar, mix it 50/50 with water in a spray bottle. This also works.

This recipe also works on soap scum:
4 Tbs white vinegar
2 tsp Borax
1/4 c. liquid dawn dishwashing soap
Water to fill a spray bottle.

Hi there...nothing like a old fashioned bottle of vinegar..place in spray bottle apply and let sit for a minute. You may have to spray several times depending on how bad the build up is. :-)
P.S: try using a reg newspaper to wipe the glas clean...doing this to all your glass including stained glass coffee pots will give you the best clean glass possible.

I've found Brillo (or any steel wool) works fine. Afterwards you can rub a very thin film of baby oil on the inside of them to stop soap scum from building back up quickly.

it is cleansing soap scum. I used to apply 409 with a scrub brush accompanied by potential of glass cleanser, yet they in no way regarded ideal. you are able to constantly use Tilex or Lime Away, or something else made in particular for this issue.

Try cleaning them with micro-fibre clothes. You can purchase them at any grocery store or hardware store in the cleaning section. I have washed my windows with them and they leave no streaks. All I do is wet one, wash the glass and then dry with a second cloth. You don't even need any cleaning solution.

There is a new cleaning solution you can get at the store called Kaboom. It comes in a purple bottle. It is great.
