My favorite holiday really isn’t a holiday, more like a tradition. It’s the Eve of the largest holiday of the year-Christmas Eve. My family celebrates the birth of Christ with a Feast of the Seven Fishes. We never lose sight of the importance of the next day by allowing dollar amounts become more important than the event itself.

I do like the 6 month holiday season (Halloween, Thankgiving, Christmas, New Year's, Valentine's Day, St. Patty's Day, and finally Easter) I decorate for each one...and then there is 6 months of nothing. July 4th is half way into the nothing months, and then three months later 6 months of holidays again. : D

My favorite holiday is New Years Eve because number one, I'm glad that I lived long enough to see another one come in. And two, I like to get dressed up and party. These last 6 years I've been watching the ball drop in New York City while living in Texas. Now that I'm back living in my home state New Jersey, this New Years Eve, I plan to be there! Especially with Dick Clark coming back to host it after having his stroke.
