WHAT A LOAD OF BALONEY! I have morning sickness every time I wake and there's no coffee and I'm not even pregnant! Infact, I'm a man!

All the old wives tales are not true. Not to me at least! =)

With my first I was sick as a dog and had a girl. I'm 20 weeks pregnant now and didn't have any morning sickness. I was just tired but didn't feel that bad. We just found out that we are having another girl. So that just tells you every pregnancy is different.

My friend who is expecting around the same time as me had the same symptoms as me and she is def. having a boy. She had no morning sickness.

We also did the chinese calander thing and it was right for me but wrong for her. Go figure.

We did the string thing...wrong for me and wrong for her. It said boy for me and girl for her.

They say if you carry up front and it's all baby, then it's a boy. Well everyone thinks I'm carrying a boy but are surprised when i say it's a girl.

With both pregnancies, i craved different foods too. If I followed the old wives tales i should be having a boy but i'm not! So, good luck and just wait for your ultrasound. They are usually on the dot. That was the only right prediction for me.

Not true at all. I have 4 kids, 3 girls and 1 boy. I had terrible morning sickness with my son - 9 months worth and not just in the morning but all day long. My youngest, a girl, I had none. The other 2 girls I was sick during the first trimester and was fine after that.

Morning sickness however frequent or infrequent does not indicate the baby's gender. Every mother experiences different types and levels of morning sickness with each pregnancy. So you can pretty much say it's a unique situation each time. However, if you're keen on knowing the baby's gender, there's an old trick that works for most people I know, including myself. You merely look at the shape of the mother's womb. If it's protruding, it's usually a boy, if it's flatter but wider, it's usually a girl.

Hope this helps!

No, this isn't true. I had morning sickness with both my daughter and my son. Some doctors will say that's just your hormones changing and the baby is getting stronger. Others say it's simply the way your body is reacting to being pregnant. The only sure way to know what the sex of your baby will be, is to get a sonogram around the 6th or 7th month. Good luck and I pray you have a healthy baby.

Every pregnancy is different and every woman is different. I don't think that is true, it's probably something that that person went through with their pregnancy so they think it's true. I have three kids, two girls and a boy and I will admit that I was as sick as a dog with the girls but I was also sick with my son. My friends have been more sick with their boys then their girls so it just depends. If you really want to know, wait for the ultrasound and you'll be able to actually see for yourself. Good luck to you and I wish you the best on your upcoming bundle of joy!

No, that is not true because I speak from experience. I have 4 children and I was sick with all of them.. If your feeling sick that means that the baby is developing healthy.. I have 3 boys and 1 girl and the sickness was the same with all of them...

It doesnt mean anything. However. I have 3 boys and I was very sick with all of them and now Im pregnant with a girl, Im 20 weeks and still sick as a dog. Much sicker than I was with the boys. But Im sick 24/7 and throwing up everydays, etc...Its terrible. My friend had 2 girls and never got sick with them at all and then she had a boy and was sick with him. It just all depends I guess.

I doubt it. I have three kids, two girls and a boy. With the first girl, I had some sickness, but it went away in four weeks. With my second girl I had it a lot, but it didn't last all that long. With my son, I stayed sick more often, and all through the day ending towards week 12.

Probably not. It can go either way. I've heard the same things about the food you crave having a connection to the baby's gender. From my experience, I had no morning sickness at all, and I had a girl.

Pretty much all of them are myths. Certain things might be true for certain people, for example: morning sickness every time you have a boy, but not necessarily the same for everyone. When I had my last child, I asked the ultrasound technician this same question, and she said the only "myth" that seemed to have any truth was that your baby will be born with hair if you have a lot of heartburn.
