They were limited to "happy holidays" last year, but so many people boycotted walmart because of this because it seemed like they were shunning Christmas, i think its about time they realized that 80% if the American population was Christian, what do you think?

I use to work at WalMart and let me tell you, that company is the absolute worst! They have more law suits against them than they know what to do with (the majority of them being current or previous employees)! I bet you anything that "the big guy" wants everyone to say happy holidays so no fanatic gets offended and tries to sue them... Personally I feel it's up to who's saying the greeting and what they feel right saying.

I believe that if they can say Merry Christmas, they should also include other religious celebrations to include others. It would be grossly unfair to ignore minorities. I suppose it is open to the store itself and the employees, but how would Walmart react if 20% of their customers refused to come because they were insulted? Being part of that other 20% you mention, I don't mind it so much, but some people do. Anyway, a big company like Walmart has to tread carefully to avoid loosing customers. They've already made a few big mistakes. All in all, if I wanted religious statements from Christianity, I'd go to church (which I don't). Keep religion in the churches and out of politics, law and commerce.

People wake up there is alot more than WalMart that just said Happy Holidays last year. It was totally disgtusting. It is kust like X-Mas you take Christ right out of it . I know some people have come with kind of bad definition of Christmas but if we as Chrisitians ans caring compasssionate people are being with family helping others and caring for and showing compassion for others whre are we wrong. Yes it is too comercialized now but we can teach our children the truth to not get caught up in that. Merry Christmas to you all and hep everyone you can it will be a brighter Christmas for all.

I think if we as apeople don't do something soon, we're soon going to not be the free people we think we are. Watch the news read the papers. How could anyone stop anyone from saying merry Christmas? What was the Constitution wrote for? What has happened to "Freedom of Speech"? Doest it remind you of the communists of the past?Big Brother is watching.

Heck, of course they have the right to say Merry Christmas. Despite the arguments, how many people actually get offended when you say that? I've even read something by a Jew who said he LIKED it when ppl said Merry Christmas!

There is no way an employer could stop my wishing a Merry CHRISTmas to anyone and whenever I chose. I would think this was something employees could take to court.

I hate this political correctness rubbish! If you get offended by Christmas in a country that celebrates Christmas, then go back to where you came from!!!!!! Why should we have to change our beliefs and traditions so not to offend the foreigners?

And for when it counts: Merry Christmas AFwife!

I went to Walmart on Halloween and the people at the door were dressed up in costumes and they were saying "Happy Halloween". If they can say that then they can say "Merry Christmas"

i think that the division of church and state can be carried too far.
i'm not a christian, but i still say merry christmas. it doesn't matter what religion you are. the whole thing should be about spending time with family, helping others, and having a good time.
i don't know why, but sometimes people still amaze me.
