She tried to reinstall it but the CD is no longer working because it was already used. Will she be able to recover her Norton Antivirus for her laptop without buying new.

Everything in life happens for a reason. Your friend can consider herself lucky that you made an error with the recovery disk.

Nortons has been garbage for many years an each an every year Nortons, continues to get worse. Does not know when your system is hit with a virus. An if it did, unable to remove complete from your system. The virus will still be there in your system.

Plus if you go to add/remove and remove Nortons, you will have quite a shock. You think the program has been removed. No, you are left with over 350 fragments of Nortons, glued to all your files and hidden all over your system.

Believe me you will play total hell trying to remove the fragments. Even the best computer techs., hate trying to get Nortons 100% out of your system.

She should consider your error a blessing.

Here is a free state of the art technology antivirus program that I have used for nine year an I never had one virus. Has one of the very best background scanners, that will catch any virus in real time and destroy. You will get two or three times per day automatic updates. The corporate version is the same as the free for home use personal version. They just make corporate pay. They will ask you for your email address so the can send you your free key that is good for one year. After one year all you have to do is request a free new key.

Hi

Yes she can , first you need to unistall the norton , then go to the registry and clean all the folders that have symantec norton in it. Then try to re-install , if that dosent work , then you can restart on safe mode , and unistall it following the same procedure ok

You will have to call Sysmatec. They should be able to help, as long as your copy is legit. If not their are free AV programs like AVG antivirus and Avast antivirus.

You need to contact norton. Ask for your money back. You got ripped off.
