Let's give the chap a chance shall we? P. Brosnan went to the same ordeal when he made his first bond film and made several successful films after. Watch the movie before commenting. Cheers!

Only reason George Lazenby did a James Bond movie was because Conery wanted out of the business. I think it was after Diamonds are Forever.
they needed someone to take over the role so they got Lazenby andmade On her Majesty's secret service.
After that they talked Connery into 2 more movies all though his last wouldnt happen for some 10+ years.
Moore came in and did 6-7 then Conery comes back for "Never Say Never Again" and then Moore finished up with 1-2 more. (very strange that this was allowed).
Brosnan's best to me still is "Goldeneye"
Tommorow Never Dies was the worst Bond movie ever.
The World is not enouhg was OK
Die another day was a little better then World.
So yeah i am looking forward to seeing if Craig can do good.
Since this is based on a book (only james bond movie based directly on a book), and its seting is not today, its gonna be interesting to see.
Only dissapointment so far:
M is a woman in this and that probably isnt right.
M was a man in Dr. No and the two were supposed to be about the same time.
Why would they put the modern M in there when the movie is even set in the 60's

James Bond is not only about kicking people's arses like Chuckie Chan. Ian Fleming has placed equal weight on the character's stylistic aspect.
This was all over the place with Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan. (Both fabulous).
Roger Moore, as a funnier womanizer also did brilliantly, George Lazenby didn't last but made a stylistic point, and Timothy Dalton... well, he was meant to be a sensitive Bond, but turned out too soft. But still he was ok.
So how consistent is the Daniel - Rambo - Craig version with all the above? I personally think the guy is a horrible choice.
Too bad Clive Owen didn't fancy the role. We would have been absolutely perfect.

Connory, as always will be the benchmark.
Although many people disagree, I liked Timothy Dalton, although the movies themselves left a little to be desired. I felt Dalton played the Bond closer to the Ian Flemming books, which didn't go down well after the likes of Connory and Moore.
I never liked Moore as Bond. Even though he did more movies than anyone else, he didn't seem to fit the part. I have the same issue with Brosnan. He's too much of a pretty boy.
George Lazenby kinda got screwed over. He only got one movie, and it was the worst by far, being not very Bond-y at all. Plus he had the added expectation after following Connory (then be followed by Connory again),
I'm really looking forward to Daniel Craig. I like him as an actor and he'll play Bond as a tougher harder character. It'll be tough to compare him to other Bonds since I get the feeling this movie will be very different to the other movies.
