I am so confused by all this still. I am 24 years old and I met a divorced woman with 3 children who is 35 years old at my workplace. At first I didn't know she was histrionic, she was very loud and I found her annoying within the first month. After time we started talking and I became attracted to her showering me with constant praise. She was also very in-depth about her sexual adventures with many men.

At first I found her behaviour odd but after time I got used to it and started to find myself acting like her in odd ways which my colleagues noticed. She told me she was bipolar, not sure if this is true. She played constant mind games with me, telling me about other men, and once I met her kids I started to question her lifestyle plus her ex-husband moved back in with her.

I have just got a new job and many work colleagues says its good there is no contact with her, which I found odd at first. But there has been no contact and apparently blokes are all over her.

She sounds like she is a looney tune,I think you made the right choice to distance yourself from her. You probably have saved yourself a lot of grief.

I honestly have no idea what your asking. The last sentence completely through me off. I think you like this girl but she is a little weird and has issues...sounds like she has too many issues and your are too young to be dealing with that. Maybe she was having a negative affect on you cause you said you began acting like her, in that case maybe it's a good thing you cut communications. I hope that helped.

It sounds like you were. People who have emotional issues that cause them to behave that way are not really people you want to be around. The ex-husband moved back in with her? RUN! You are setting yourself up for a LOT of drama.

Those who suffer from Histrionic Personality Disorder crave attention, if they do not receive the spot light they so desire, they will seek it from another source.
