It really makes me angry that no sooner has the summer holiday gone the Christmas merchandise arrives in the shops, then really cheesy Christmas Carols being played endlessly and to top it off out come the Christmas trees (snarl snarl)
I remember when Christmas was in the shops about a week before Christmas Eve as a kid it made it magical.
I come from the generation that was not the me me me and the bigger the better plus the more money spent the better generation I loved the inexpensive things they meant much more.
Now I sound like the Grinch.... Long live Mr G! stealing Christmas might make people rethink the true meaning enjoyment, loads of food and a time spent with loved ones.

It annoys the crap out of me. I remember when I was little, they used to crack out the Christmas stuff the day after Thanksgiving, so it was exciting to see all the decorations. Now it seems like they toss up Christmas decorations before Easter!! It's overkill, because by the time Christmas rolls around, you're almost sick of seeing all that stuff.
Don't even get me started on the radio stations that play nothing but Christmas music for all of November and December. I've got soooooo many issues with that.

even with your article's blatant lies concerning the Pope and historic past somewhat much less comercialism could be an particularly solid situation for Christmas. Christmas is the Eucharistic party of the delivery of Jesus Christ, God the Son. The angel mentioned to them, "don't be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you solid information of super excitement which would be for each and all of the people. For on the instant in the city of David a savior has been born for you who's Messiah and Lord. And this could be a demonstration for you: you will locate an toddler wrapped in swaddling outfits and mendacity in a manger." And unexpectedly there grew to become right into a large number of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying: "Glory to God in the utmost and on earth peace to those on whom his want rests." (Luke 2:10-14) Why do people whinge that some are taking Christ out of Christmas yet are silent approximately much greater everybody is taking the Mass out of Christmas? With love in Christ.

So all the kids get to see the adverts on TV and make a really long list of toys they want, which in turn makes mum and dad spend loads of money!!!
It does get annoying, especially as Christmas is so expensive now I'm not a child and have a boyfriend who has expensive taste! All it does is remind me that I'll be broke the whole of January, and living on turkey for 3 months!

Me!! Its annoying when the ads are on all the time, do they not think that people know the season is fast approaching.. we are thinking of just buying a turkey and a tree and going to a cottage in Scotland, just to boycott the commercial side of Christmas . What has happened to the real religious meaning?

Yes, it does annoy me, and its all about selling more products. My family and I don't even bother with the whole crimbo thing much anymore, since my siblings and I have grown up. We buy each other token presents, under a tenner, usually, and just have a nice dinner and get drunk. It's nice because its one of the few times a year we are all together (I live about 3 hours away from them). It is even more annoying, as I work in retail, and we start thinking and planning for crimbo in june!!

I know what you mean, you just don't know what time of the year it is.. you just get back from your summer holiday and you're hit with Christmas, however you can always tell when Christmas is nearly here because the shops will be full of Easter Eggs.
Merry Christmas!!

Here in South Carolina they were starting to put Christmas things out in the middle of August. Lowes and Wal-Mart was taking down their summer plants etc and putting up Christmas. It doesn't annoy me, it makes me so upset because I am not ready to see Christmas things in August.

Do you mean the holiday formerly known as Christmas, now better known as the Holiday Shopping Season?

So all the commercial businesses that make big money at Christmas can pile the guilt onto parents for even longer and make more money when they all crack and buy on plastic xx
