Mostly cute little shops, art galleries, cafe's, etc. If you are taking your car, there are more options like wineries and antique stores. If you are taking the car, and want to drive a ways, I'd recommend driving to Poulsbo. It's a great little Norwegian town that's right on the water. Very cute, lots to do.

Here's the link to the Chamber of Commerce for Bainbridge & another for Poulsbo:

Have fun!

Bainbridge Island is a 'rural community' for commuters mostly who commute from their downtown Seattle jobs to their plush homes on Bainbridge. The 'town' itself and the ferry ride from Seattle are quaint and enjoyable in themselves. Here's a lot of neat photos: http://www.bainbridgechamber.com/pictorial.htm

To get there: take your car from Seattle (take the Windslow Ferry from downtown Alaskan Way Ferry Terminal) to the town of Windslow on the Island and drive around then find your way to the "Agate Pass Bridge" to the mainland...drive up 101 North and cross the FLOATING "Hoods Canal Bridge to Port Angeles. WHAT an OUTTING!!

If you have lots of time, leave your car in Port Angeles, and take the COHO ferry to Victoria...and stay there for a night...or if you're worried about your car, either take it, or just spend the night in Port Angeles, and just go to Victoria for the DAY.

(I'll send you my bill in the mail...LOL)
