We were working for a builder in a different state installing steel stairs for each new building going up there are eight buildings total. Unfortunately the builder was not very happy with the time it took for us to fabricate the stairs and have them delivered and installed by us. They did tell us that they are going to find another company to complete the final three buildings because it was more convenient to have a local company work for them. Here’s the problem; they are not paying us for the work that we did complete. In total we finished close to $90,000.00 worth of work that is owed to us. No one from their company will return our calls, and when we do get someone they say a check is on the way. Its has been over 4 months since we received a payment from them. What are our options in getting our money? They are rental buildings so I’m not sure if we can put a lien on the property. Any advice would help out.

If you are so unsure of how to get your money back that you have to ask the opinion of Yahoo Answers then you are really in trouble.

Have you considered a lawyer??

GET A LAWYER TO PUT A LEIN ON THEM NOW BEFORE THEY ARE SOLD OR YOU ARE SCREWED.
