I have a new couch at my new condo. Should I buy a love seat or a couple of chairs?

chairs. if you do loveseat, you're limited on how you can rearrange. i like chairs b/c i can fit them different places to give my place a fresh look. a loveseat is bulky. most places, there is usually only space to arrange a sofa/loveseat set one way.

Depends on how much room you have and your lifestyle. For a family room, I like a love seat. For a living room, which I'm assuming you are decorating, I like two chairs with a lamp in the middle. Have fun.

Buy ONE stylish chair in a bright colour.

I totally disagree with buying "sets" of things. I find it very boring, predictable and old fashioned. (I guess, unless it is absolutely necessary, i.e. you need two socks!!)

If you think you need more seats for people, you can additionally get a comfy cushion chair or arrange a nice cozy area with lots of pillows, preferrably close to your new couch.
