I preordered a Wii console months ago from a company named Lik-Sang after I did some research. They seemed to have a lot of favorable feedback so I felt pretty secure that I would get the unit in time for Christmas for my son. Today, I decided to check the status of my request only to find out they have gone out of business because of a lawsuit by Sony!!!!! Of course now it's November 10th and all of the pre-order sites are closed to new orders. Does anyone have any suggestions???? Lik-Sang never took any money from me so I'm not concerned about that, but I really need to get a hold of a console for Christmas and I cannot possibly afford to pay the prices they are going to get on E-bay or other auction sites. Does anyone know where I might be able to preorder Wii for the regular retail of $249.00??

Why do these companies always try to create such mayhem arond the holidays. This console has probably been ready for months, but they always launch everything in mid to late November and make everyone scramble and fight to get them.

Pre-ordering is basicly over now sorry.But if you have local game shops or a Wal-Mart you can camp out to get a wii.Then there is e-bay but it would cost about $750-$1500.One more thing your son should have looked into this months before, i am 12 and i've got a wii pre-ordered at GameStop and i'm paying for it and 3 games by my self.If a GameStop is near all employees have pre-ordered wii's and some might be willing to give you theirs.But don't worry because more wiis are coming out before Christmas not only the pre-orders and you can trust me i've been researching the wii for about 2 years now.

I agree with Joey; you should be able to just find a system after it comes out and before Christmas too. Since you said the price would be $249 I presume you live in the US, and Nintendo will allocate the majority of their launch consoles between here and Japan. People are madly pre- ordering because we all remember the launches of the PS2 and the XBOX 360, but Nintendo will have a couple million Wiis out here in 2006.
I'd just call around to different stores after the launch, which will be on Sunday the 19th.

No the system hasn't been ready for months, it takes a while to make 4 million copies of something. You CAN NOT preorder a wii it is pointless. Just wait in line at five in the morning and see if you get one, but if you really want one, go there at midnight to a store that didn't take preorders and isn't open 24 hours. You'll get one by christmas, so you can just wait and call your local gamestore every week to see when the next shipment arrives.

Yeah, I think the pre-orders enede in stores like EB Games, Wal-Mart, etc. So once the lines die down, you could get one Wii console in the store. Lik-Sang was ok, but I never trusted it.

No, you could in elementary terms use a activity cube controller for activity cube video games, because it has buttons the classic controller does not. although, activity cube controllers could be picked up for roughly £5/$10 at a close-by activity shop or someplace like Amazon. wish this enables, Tom.

They will have plenty of units out before christmas so you will be able to goto the store and get one. Too late to preorder sorry.

thats a shame. you can get one at best buy target or walmart they dont take preeorders. if u cant get 1. go in to one of these stores 2 times a week you shoulld get one. hore this helps ma'am

nintendo sucks don't buy xbox 360 or ps3 they are overpriced and a waste of time and money especially w/ no good games out so just simply don't buy a viedogame system don't waste you money
