No easy way to memorize...Just constantly using them will make them easier to remember.
Make flash cards...place them randomly about the house,like the fridge, bathroom mirror, car seat, etc. Before you cna use that object to must try to name the ion. Flip the card to the other side to make you do the reverse the next time.

thts not really hard to do ! just remember no atom will achieve more thn 3 extra electrons and no one will lose more thn 3 e too
elements in same groups has similar ions (there are some exceptions in middle groups) if u learn to which group each element belongs u can easily notice tht how many electrons they must lose or achieve to get similar to elements of group 18
middle group elements do not obey this Sc is the only element in middle groups tht obeys octet rules
