I just updated to the newer version of iTunes (which I now know is causing problems for others.) I was listening to my iPod on a speaker rather than ear buds and it was plugged into a wall charger. 4 seconds into a song it just locked up. It still reads the time it froze, shows the song and album art and how far into the song it got. (That's how I know it's 4 seconds.) I really can't aford to replace it right now. I'm hoping if I let the charge run out it will go back to normal. ( I can't find my recpt so I can't get it repaired.) It hasn't been damaged in anyway. I've had to replace the ear buds a few times but the iPod is only a few months old. I deeply appreciate any serious help you can give me.

I held the middle and bottom buttons but it's still frozen. Thanks, though.

Hold the middle button and the bottom of the click wheel until it turns off.

I know this wont help but, you should have went with a Creative MP3 player, cheaper more memory and more features. Sorry
