I know everyone is different...I am still waiting for a blood test to determine whether or not I am pregnant. I think I am. I was wondering how soon other people who have been or are pregnant began to show? Let me describe further; I am skinny all over but now have a little bump on my belly which is solid when I am standing but when I sit down it's soft. It's not fat and I am certainly not premenstrual or bloated; I even have the same size bump in the middle of the night when I have not eaten for a few hours. I am also finding it hard to sleep and have a decreased appetite although the hpt I took showed as negative. I estimate I'd be around 7-8 weeks perhaps. As I say, I am planing to see a doctor for a blood test but am interested in hearing from other people...

I found out i was pregnant at 7 weeks and started showing at 8. It was a bit of a shock, so much so that at 9 weeks the midwife thought she'd better check for a heartbeat because she thought I was further on! I had to ditch all my trousers and stick to elasticated waisted skirts (i had a whole 1 skirt!) so had to buy maternity clothes pretty quick off the bat. that was a dead giveaway so i ended up telling my colleagues earlier than i wanted to but never mind! But then as the pregnancy progressed I lost weight everywhere else and gained a great big bump, causing me to lose a dress size!
I'm going to start trying for a second one in a month or so (after i get back from holiday) and i'll be interested to see if there's a difference in how soon i show with the second!

Hi I am 5 weeks 4 days and already have a tiny bump, no one else would be able to tell unless I had a really tight top on and my breasts have already become allot more fuller and heavier. I must admit I do sometimes feel like I have a decreased appetite but that usually goes away by midday I think its my sickness though. I also have back ache to the left of my back. Also seem to be getting small mild cramps in the evening, go to your GP!

I think between 8-12 weeks you could have a little bump. Wouldnt show to others, but you would know.
Sometimes (and Im not saying its all in your head) if we really want to be pregnant, or really dont and are worried we are, we can see the bump that might have been there before as more prominent.

I would say the less you weight the faster you will be showing. Some woman hardly show at all until the last month or so. It doesn't sound to me like you are pregnant and unless you have morning sickness which can be all day you should have more of an appetite. I am glad your seeing a Dr. Good luck. Diane

hi,im nearly 7 weeks pregnant and i look huge already! with my first baby i didnt show till 7 months so a huge shock for me :) im also finding it hard too sleep at night due to the amount of toilet trips,i knew i was pregnant straight away cos i was extremly tired,had massive headaches and heartburn. try doing a pregnancy test first thing in the morning if still nothing go see the doctor.good luck xxxxxx

Wow most women don't show until 4-5 months however you will pop by 6-7 months for sure as your baby starts to grow the most at that point.good luck and enjoy your pregnant body

i started showing almost straight away to myself but my boyfriend couldn't tell till about 10 weeks. I had a very hard almost stretched tummy very low down that felt quite tight from inside and i knew by this i was preganat before any test would show it. I was howvere expecting my two beautiful children!

i started showing at about 8 or 9 weeks or so. but just a tiny little bump, probably noone else would know if i wasnt drawing attention to it. i really started to pop out by 12 weeks though. and my bubby was a biggin' 9Ib 7 at the end and 2 weeks early!
