If you just want a simple screensaver of a slideshow of photos, pictures or whatever, make a folder into which you put any pictures you want to display (you can use any folder but this way you control what is displayed).

Right click the desktop, choose Properties and select the Screensaver tab. In the dropdown, select My Pictures Slideshow. Click the Settings button, browse to the folder you created and make other changes as you wish on that tab. Click OK all the way out.

There are also other built-in screensavers to choose from or there are plenty available for free on the Internet. Be careful, however, when choosing a screensaver file. They have an extension of .SCR but they are, in fact, no different from an .EXE, so they can contain code which may harm your PC.

There are also applications which will build a screensaver for you. They usually involve supplying images to display and building an executable file which contains both the images and a small application which displays them. This is all packaged in one file and, if given an .SCR extension, will autorun as a screensaver.

1.Right–click an empty spot on your desktop, and then click Properties.

2.Click the Screen Saver tab.

3.In the Screen saver list, click My Pictures Slideshow.

4.Click Settings to make any adjustments, such as how often the pictures should change, what size they should be, and whether you'll use transition effects between pictures, and then click OK.

Now your screen saver is a random display of the pictures taken from your My Pictures folder.

You can use a differnet folder if you keep your pics somewhere other than the My Pictures folder.

If you want to do more than this you'll need software for creating a screensaver. A good and trusted app can be found here:

There is software available to make your own screensavers. www.screensaver.com sells software for this purpose. You can put sounds, pictures, animations and even Flash into your screensaver. It is pretty simple and comes with a beginners tutorial. You can share your creations with your friends if you purchase the deluxe version. You can download a free trial to see if you like it from:http://www.screensaverstudio.com/sssdemo/

I advise you to download the anti virus Nod32. It's gonna remove the virus that plays with your running application. It happened to me three days ago. I was using AVGfree but It couldn't remove the Worm (virus) Then I downloaded NOD32 and it removed the worm in my laptop.
