Will the Patriot Act be repealed now that there has been a change in the US Govt ?

Parts of the legislation will be stripped out for politcal and civil liberties by democrats. I think the patriot act possibly could be repealed but the likelyhood is a waterdown version of the act. Bush went to far with the act actually, and possibly if democrats can get 2/3 vote to override the veto of the repeal of the act it is possible.

Nope.

The only thing that will go away is the propaganda about it being dangerous. You'll have totally forgotten about it by next summer, and it will still be law.

it needs to be "adjusted" so that the police state it creates no longer exists. we still need parts of it, but not rampant violations of citizens rights, as wanted by bush/rove etc.
