Cancel joint Credit cards, let her be responsible for her own gambling habits, if you don't she can destroy everything you have both worked so hard to achieve. The lying can be a danger or warning sign so pay attention to it. Pull the plug on the puter for a while see how she likes that. Gambling is not a game it could be an addiction and you can both lose everything if you don't talk about it NOW!! Good luck God Bless!!

You could block the computer from being able to log onto a gambling site. That's always fun! Get some of that "nanny" software and lock her out.

i gamble online, i play poker (texas hold-em) im on many sites, and i put the odd bet down on footy mostly, now and then,... what does it matter? is she REALLY over spending? does she know what she is doing? cant you two afford it. if so then get rid of the internet.
but it could just be a hobby, me and my b/f have this hobby and we win more money than lose.
maybe you should just talk to her about it and say u know she goes on em and how much money do u win lose work it out in your head. if its too much, say so ask her to stop if she dont, THEN she has a gamblers problem,..THEN you should cut the internet connection.
oh and if she is paying out of a joint account, set up a different one and say if she wants to play she can use her own money.
xXx :o)

The lying is the problem, not the gambling, unless she is spending all your money. There is gamblers anonymous if she has a problem.

My other half had exactly the same problem - he cost us a small fortune but I stood by him. As it happens he now has a very reliable system where he is making money. My suggestion is to be firm but sympathetic- it is an addiction. She should look at it from a mathematical/'stocks and shares' point of view if she is that way inclined.

She's obviously a bored housewife. Maybe you should suggest she gets out more and stop becoming a couch potatoe or pc dumbbo. Mind you, there is nothing much to do anyway besides sit on the pc, maybe get her interested in this website, i came across it today and i'm hooked!

put a password on your computer so she can not get onto the Internet. Does she have a job? If so then tell her the debt is hers to pay. If not tell her she needs to go get one and pay her bills.
