I have enterd many competitions and know that you need to stand out from the rest.
It is possible they will get hundreds, maybe thousands of entries with similar answers
* I need a relaxing break away in a foreign country
* I've always heard Fiji is beautiful, we'd like to see for ourselves
* We could rekindle our love on foreign shores
* A holiday on the beaches in Fiji, bliss
You have to catch the judges eye with your entry.
While you do need a good (and hopefully unique) response to the question your entry also needs to stand out from the rest.
Don't go over the allowed number of words.
You might paste your entry form onto a colourful piece of cardboard. Or a beautifully textured piece, available from most good newsagents.
Then use your imagination: surround it with photos of your kids, pictures of Fijian: sunsets, beaches, people, hibiscus flowers. Anything tropical and pertaining to the type of holiday they are offering.
Cover the cardboard in glue, sprinkle sand onto it and glue some tiny shells onto it. With your entry right in the middle!
If the entry requires a product proof of purchase don't forget to include that in your collage too.
And try (if possible) to use the product name somewhere in either your answer or maybe their logo in your collage.
Use a big envelope, so you don't bend your entry.
There is nothing to stop you from pasting a sun, hibiscus or palm tree monto the envelope. Or you could use some appropriate stickers on the front of it. Everything has to stand out!
Good luck, entering competitions is great fun and the more you enter the better you become!

Who is running the competition? The winners of these type of competition often reference or infer something about the company running it.
For example a quick look at the FIji tourist website shows that they have the line "The truly relaxing tropical gateway" so if they were running it I would try something like......
I would like to win a honeymoon to Fiji as I would like it to be be a tropical gateway to a truly relaxing marriage

Our children have been saving all of their money in a piggy bank and really think they can buy us the trip with their earnings. These thoughtful children.
