If you are serious, go to a bank for advice on the best way to get started. Specifically, to get finance, you'll need a properly drawn up business plan, with realistic figures, and you'll need to put your own money in.

Well after ten years you will know how much hard work it is and you know you can not trust anybody - especially in the beginnning but you most definately will have the experience with stock ordering, stock taking managing, accounts so on and so forth so why not! Live th Dream if that is what it is. Talk to a reputable bank (a couple for choice) about a small business loan but dont forget your business plan- i thikn it would be better to start small and work it bigger!

You'll need to sort out getting a liscense in your name. dont rely on anyone else....

You should definitely do this.

Do you have friends who could put some money into the bar with you? Then work out how much extra you need, draw up a business plan - get an accountant to do this for you but go through it carefully - and then approach a bank

Sure. Bars usually make tons of money. Now you have to decide if you want to go at it alone or go with friends and you all invest in the bar. Everyone should follow their dreams. If you want to go at it alone you must have good credit to get the best rate but if your bar is sucessful you should be able to pay it off. Or you could go in it with friends and hope the bar makes good money. Etheir way you should hope the bar does well and GOOD LUCK!

You seem to have the experience and should therefore know how much work is involved. If you are asking the question if you should you probably shouldnt.

If you want to know what you need to do and how to get started try looking at business link, they will give you a list of things and tell you where to get help.

Go for it ! get a small business loan and rent a property in a lively town or city until you can afford to buy. Don't know how you go about getting it licensed though. Good luck.
