12th house is the house of the subconcious. Jupiter there isn't so bad, you could have a lot worse planets in that section of your chart. Jupiter's a benefic (good luck) planet, so it kind of eases things wherever it lands in a natal chart.

I'm going to give you two different interpretations from two different astrology websites. The first is from Astrology-Numerology, about your Ascendant and also your 12th house planets. The second is from Bob Marks Astrology about your 12th house planets.

Astrology-Numerology:
Jupiter Twelfth House
Jupiter residing in the twelfth house shows that the planet plays an important part shaping benefits from unseen sources. This placement shows an interest in introspective study, research or working behind the scenes. It often shows a willingness to extend assistance to others without expectation of reward. Repayment is received, nonetheless, in the form of the invisible protection provided by this position. There is a degree of unconscionable extravagance and tendency to act before thinking attached to this position.

Sun Twelfth house
This placement denotes a private drive for self-perfection. You are one who will seldom receive full recognition for your efforts and accomplishments, but you easily accept roles of relative obscurity. You are somewhat introverted and love the peace and solitude such a situation often affords. If you were left to your own devices and permitted to, you could live a contemplative life. If you display leadership, it will likely be a "behind the scenes" role. Service to others provides you with recognition and fulfillment. Psychology and psychic research may be of considerable interest for you. While there may be indications in other parts of your chart that you need people, you are likely to feel somewhat estranged from others even when in the middle of a group. You need to spend a good deal of time by yourself. You should not be too concerned by feelings of not-belonging, and by failures to mix well with others. Your role may be that of investigation and obtaining understanding, rather than socializing and the attainment of status

Gemini
Life is never the least bit dull when Gemini is in the rising position because this sign produces a personality that is so witty and clever. Unfortunately, the nature is also anxious, high-strung and diffusive. With this lively sign on the rise, you need constant mental stimulation. This is because you cannot stand the thought of being bored, not even for a minute. You want to keep yourself surrounded with people, activities, and exciting situations. You are happiest when you are very busy and fully engaged in a variety of activities. Gemini is a mental or air sign, and you are by nature very active mentally. You identify with ideas and consider yourself essentially a mental person.
You are friendly and adaptable, but at times you can be temperamental and a little indecisive. Although you appear confident, inner assurance is not a natural trait. Your disposition is good when you can manage to stay calm and serene.

You are a wonderful conversationalist, and many natives of this sign become writers, reporters or active in some phase of communication. Mercury is the ruling planet of your horoscope since Mercury is the planetary ruler of Gemini. Like the metallic chemical mercury, you are slippery and quick, extremely hard to pin down. Gemini is clever. You can outtalk, outthink and outsmart most people you meet.

Physically, you are agile and well coordinated. Nervous activity keeps you slender. Your enthusiasm for change is a trait that makes you perpetually young and progressive of mind, even as you grow older.

The symbol for Gemini is the twins, and this symbol depicts a duality in your nature. There is a tendency to be somewhat fickle. You can handle more than one job at a time. You tend to dart from one topic to another, from one task to the next, in and out of relationships. You are a collector of trivia and random information. With a Gemini Ascendant, you may indeed be a walking encyclopedia.

Bob Marks Astrology
Sun in the Twelfth House: Back in 1978, I spent five days in the hospital. Being a good Capricorn Sun sign, I didn’t want to waste any time, so I did the charts of everyone on the staff. Without exception, all the people on the "graveyard shift" (11 at night to 7 in the morning) had the Sun in the twelfth house. This placement makes you a night person. Early morning for you is a good time to go to sleep. And, as you can see from the above example, it can incline to work in places of restriction, such as hospitals. There may also be tendencies towards artistic occupations, but the rest of the horoscope, especially the tenth house, has to be examined before firm conclusions are reached.

Jupiter in the Twelfth House: can hide their "joviality", their cheerfulness. However, while it can limit "luck" as far as getting things for you, it can also protect you from physical harm, especially from enemies. One client was a tank commander in an Asian war. His tank received a direct hit from an enemy tank at a range of about 300 yards. He told me that usually when that happens, they have to scrape the remains off of the walls of the tank. He and all his crew got out with only a few scratches. The tank was a total loss. Another client was, as a child, shot accidentally with a 22 rifle. The bullet ricocheted off of her rib and just missed her heart.

I hope this helped you out :)

It's difficult to make an accurate assessment without knowing your full birth data. So this may be wrong.

I think one or more of the following areas are important in your life:
Religion, Spiritualism, Mystics, Charities, Hospitals, Prisons, Churches, Temples, Ashrams, Retreats, Chemicals, Drugs, Cemetries, Antiques, Collectibles.

However, planets in the 12th house are weak, since the 12th is a cadent house. So the areas the planets rule will be weak, as below. But these are still assumptions, because we don't know the cusps of all your houses.
Communications, Education, Business, Siblings, Partners, Spouse, Marriage, Career, Public Image, Status.

Conflict or anger itself does not have to cause an irreparable rift between partners. With good communication skills and a shared commitment to a marriage, even these are surmountable. How to save your marriage https://tr.im/5SaWD

However, at that point where one partner is at the brink of abandoning the relationship, how can the remaining partner save their marriage? If you are at the point where your spouse has asked for a divorce, what can you do?

You must realize first that, you do have a choice. Often, when confronted by a crisis, we find ourselves backed into a corner thinking we have no choice in the matter. How can we change the situation when it involves another person's feelings or decisions? While we cannot, must not and in no way manipulate, blackmail or threaten our partner into changing their mind, we can actually control how we react to the situation. If anything, you must realize that you still have control over yourself. You have the opportunity to look inward and take responsibility for your own feelings and actions and even have the chance to take personal inventory of what your partner is trying to tell you. Are there points in your marriage that must be changed? If so, respond appropriately and proactively.

If you look at it the way you explain, then yes but in reality if you look at the ruler of the sign and then apply that astrologically to the house, it doesn't follow. Eg if Cancer was on the cusp of the 3rd house, ruled by the Moon, it shows the person has an emotional need to communicate, to have their say. Gemini on the 2nd gives Mercury as the ruler which suggests common sense and thought are associated with finances etc.
