This happens to me with almost all performers. I guess because I am old, I run behind the times (ha ha)!
Sting, Beastie Boys, Nirvana, Anita Baker, Nickel Back, are a few that I just came to love so much that I literally would turn off the radio when they were originally on the charts! There are more, but these are among the favorites.

Hum had to be one of the best bands of the '90s. I heard "Stars" in about 1995 and didn't care for it much, but I've been listening to a lot of their stuff lately. It's a shame they've broken up.

Lyle Lovett. I thought he was just a guy with goofy hair who sang country songs and was married briefly to Julia Roberts. The man is a gem, his song writing often heart wrenching, his voice velvet.

Jaco Pastorius. When I was younger, jazz was too complex for me, so it made me bored. Now I think that jazz is completely awesome.
Nice Rush avatar, by the way!

Tori Amos. I met this amazing guy, and he got me into listening to her. She is now one of my absolute favorite artists.
