I do love the air of mystery, tempered with some flirtation...Sometimes less is more!

The English awkwardness comes out in me when too overt! I become a bumbling fool regularly... as well you know my dear...

Am I to understand that by "an air of mystery", you mean to feign aloofness to the other person? If so, I'd have to say the most alluring thing is a combination of the two - subtle and NOT OVERT flirting.

I think I've had enough with the air of mystery for now and I'd like to know where I stand, so I'd enjoy overt flirting for a bit.

Definitely an air of mystery, but I tend to start that overt flirting stuff when I get all excited. Actually, there's something to be said for mixing a little of both, in my opinion :)
