I was 14 weeks pregnant and relapsed to 3 weeks and returned to bulimic habits. My doctor said that there is no way that I did any damage (without doing any kind of check up, this was over the phone) but I am curious if anyone else has had any experience...

I TOO suffer from eating disorders and the ONLY time I was NOT bulimic was when I was pregnant...you're causing your unborn child to lack what they NEED to thrive...nutrition!! Eat..and think of the baby before you throw up...I know it's a hard habit to break..and it's a mind thing...TRUST me..I've been down to 85 lbs when I was 30 yrs old!! ANd having my last two sons..saved my life...I'm now at a decent weight and have healthy~ happy sons!!

I don't know that your baby would be handicaped. But you are definately depriving your child of nutrients essential for he/she to survive. A baby in utero doesn't obsorb nutrients and get food from fat that your body may be storing. And I doubt you have any fat on you so even if the was the case your baby would still be depleted of nutrients. I know exactly how you feel because I battle with anorexia and bulimia. If your baby is not getting the nutrients that it needs it can put you into preterm labor. You don't want you baby to be born at 20 wks or early by any means. He/she would have to be on a respirator you wouldn't be able to take your baby home and it may not survive! You are a mother now, the best interest of your child comes before any of your needs or wants. If you nurse you will loose the weight right away and not to mention hanve huge brests. I gained 20lbs and after delivery had 5lbs to loose which I lost in a couple of days. Just make sure that you eat healthy snacks, carrots etc. and often.

You can most definetley do damage to the unborn baby. If you yourself are not getting enough nutrients then there is no way your body can support a pregnancy. When I was pregnant with my second child, I went into pre-term labor and was put on bedrest at 34 weeks. The baby then stoppped growing because I was not geting enough protein due to my bad eating habits. Once I increased my protein intake the baby quickly regained the lost growth.
You need to get help for yourself before you can think about having children.

Being bulemic must be so difficult especially during pregnancy. Even if it doesn handicap the baby it's still isn't healthy for either one of you. A growing fetus needs all the nutrients it can get and your condition isn't helping. Maybe you should see someone and try to get some help with this issue..as to make sure you don't hurt either one of you! GOOD LUCK & I wish you & your little miracle the best!

in the early stages of pregnancy you may have morning sickness(morning , noon, night, or just smelling food or other smells). try to eat and take your vitamins. during the last 2 trimesters do not make yourself throw up. the weight gain is normal. with exercise you will get your shape back. not eating or throwing up can deprive an unborn baby of the nutiants it needs to be healthy. if the baby does not get the nutiants it can be mentally disabled. please take care of yourself and congratulations and good luck with your baby..

No. that's no longer actual in any respect. while a woman has an orgasm in the time of intercourse it could reason her to have contractions and that's approximately all. If an orgasm led to somewhat one to grow to be retarded then hard artwork could easily harm the toddler undesirable with the aid of fact the contractions in the time of hard artwork are some distance worse than something that intercourse ought to do to somewhat one. tell your pal to speak to a doctor a doctor will reassure her that what grew to become into written in that e book is complete bs.

your doc is wrong
the damage are not easy to detect until the child is born
durign preg you need to eat as healthy as possible
at least try to have your calcium intake
try to eat small portion even if you have to eat 10 times a day
if you have to maybe small portion will be easyer for you to keep it down
but make sure that you eat
Good Luck

all I can suggest is that you go in for a check up. Just be careful and take care of yourself and that will then in turn take care of your baby. your going to be just fine. good luck and take care.
