Cheating is any act that is done outside of the bounds of your marriage or relationship whether it be done by the husband, wife, boyfriend or girlfriend. It can be sexual, or it can be exchanging explicit letters, texts, emails or the like over the Internet, cellular phone, telephone conversations, etc.
Cheating is anything that one feels they need to keep secret from their partner...either knowing it is wrong and would upset the partner, or even if they are feeling guilty and are not sure if it would upset the partner. If there are any doubts as to how it would affect the other person involved in your main relationship...then take that as a sign that it is probably wrong and should not be done, whether you want to consider it cheating or not.
When in doubt......cut it out!!!!!

My nationality is Native American/Caucasian.

I'm an American by birth, third generation. Why?

What do you mean "is it only sexual" of course it's sexual and a dozen other things. If this is all you think it is your in the wrong position. Mature some before your start asking questions like this, your not ready for marriage.

Its kinda hard to pinpoint nowadays, back then cheating only involves sexual, extra marital affairs, now there's this new form called "emotional infidelity" (i.village.com has the info on it). For myself and (possibly) future hubby, we define cheating as both sexual and emotional infidelity, we agreed on that.

I think it depends on each couple's loyalty and comfort level. I believe that whatever hurts you or makes you feel betrayed, that's what cheating is for you. Just go with what you feel.

I'm Italian and Chinese-Filipino by race, I'm Filipina by nationality.

Ok, definition of cheating can be categorized in:

1) having physical or non-physical affairs with other men/women
2) use sweet nothings or words to flirt with other men/women
3) viewing of nude pics of men/women online or in books/magazines

As long as your heart is not into your loved one and you've bad and naughty thoughts of another person, either instantly or consistently, is also considered as cheating and betraying!

Cheating is putting any other person ahead of the love of your life in attention, in thinking, in day dreaming, in "dating" at lunch.
There are times, at work or at a party, where by mutual consent another person may "occupy" more of your time, but never trespass on your heart.

Having sex with someone else is definately cheating. So is any kind of physical affection. Even having an emotional relationship without the physical is cheating as far as I am concerned. AUSTRALIAN

to me cheating is more than just sexual, it could be a person flirting with another, it could also be someone who constantly looks at others. Cheating to me is not as simple as sexual. if one person even touches another then that could be cheating. My ex used to talk to hs friends who were constanty trying to hook him up with someone else. I finally told him thats pretty much cheating because if the intent is there thats cheating to me. so needless to say i said goodbye to him.I am caucasion.

Any time you have to lie or go out of your way to be with another woman that's cheating even if sex is or isn't involved
