I just had a baby girl 3 months ago and do not have ONE stretch mark. I used Curel Natural Healing Honey vanilla and shea butter. I used it the whole time I was pregnant and I was HUGE. You can find it at wal-mart for like 7 dollars. Til this day my stomach is so soft. I used it everytime I got out of the shower and before bed. Apply lotion all over stomach and back. Those are the areas that stretch.

Hate to tell you this, but stretch marks cannot be prevented, it all has to do with your wife's skin type and elasticity..the only way to prevent stretch marks starts early in life exercising and drinking alot of water, unfortunately not many people know this until it is to late, however putting cocoa butter on stretch marks can help because it will reduce itching so your wife won't be uncomfortable, and it could keep the redness away

I too used the cocoa butter as well & I don't have any stretch marks either!! However my doctor also told me it depends on your skin type..I know many women who have used different cocoa butter products and that are loaded with stretch marks..I guess you just have to hope that your-her skin isn't like that! GOOD LUCK & no matter what..stretch marks or not..it's all worth it in the end once you look at your little miracle baby! And besides a very wise women once told me that one you start having children you're never the same women twice anyways!!

Some people can use the cocoa butter until they smell like the tropics and STILL get stretch marks...every person is different...I didn't have stretch marks with my first pregnancy...but had them after my second...and with my 3rd pregnancy..got none and with my last...had a mild amount...depends on your body and structure of your skin..whether you're prone to get them or not!

I agree that bio oil is your best bet. It contains a number of different oils, including vitamen E. Use it in the morning and more importantly at night. Also, according to nutritionist Gillian Mckeith, a lack of zinc contributes to stretch marks. A special pregnancy supplement will provide you with the amount you need. 'Pregnacare' is the best one, although I get Tesco's own, which if you look on the back, has the exact same amounts of vitamens and minerals as 'Pregnacare' but at a much lower price!

When i was pregnant the first time i didn't use anything. Now i regret not using something. Then my boyfriend bought me bio oil. It took away my stretch marks that i had for nine years almost completely and as i am pregnant again i will continue using it. Good luck and congrats.

I like to heat it up in the micro wave a little bit even. I like the really thick stuff. Jason brand.
