Hello People,
You became famous and popular for the rest of the world during the sixties. You know the names and facts. The most I remember fm my childhood : The Avengers, The Saint, Richard Lester, Carnaby Street, Peter O´Toole and Richard Burton, James Bond, Peter Sellers, The Beatles Cartoons, Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing and the Hammer horror movies, and I don´t mention all yr music. You were well known for the explode of yr pop culture and art.
I think was not the same in the following decades
Regards from Argentina and sorry for my English

Hmmmmmm. Cer\tainly the Carnaby Street push of the '60s was a winner, but the Two-Tone push of the '80s wasn't a bad time, either

for me it was the 70`s, led zep, black sabbath, pink floyd, eric clapton, genesis, david bowie, ian dury. the start of the punk revolution. my senior school. british motorbikes. much less traffic on the roads. less laws. parties galore. the great summer of `76. i`d give anything to go back lol. the 80`s was ok too, i did a lot of travelling in the 80`s wiv my mates on our bikes around the uk. made soooo many friends. but the 70`s was special!

Never been there(wish I had), but I'm going to say the 60's was probably the most popular. I was in high school and remember all the British music and perfumes and clothes being advertised on the T.V. and everyone wanting to buy it all. Remember Twiggy?
