In general the Black people are faster so they play postions like Running Back and Wide Reciever, postions where speed is of great importance. So the Whites focus on the postions where they can get away with not being as fast. That is why they play things like the Offensive Line and Quarterback. They don't need to be as fast.

Good point, but let's look at the black starters:
Vick, Leftwich, McNair, McNabb, Young, Brooks and Culpepper.
Out of 32!!!! And the last two may not even be starters any more. No point going to the backups, the numbers are even worse there. For every Batch or Wallace there are 3 guys like Rodgers, Ramsey, Bledsoe, Holcomb, Feeley etc.
The fact is, the system takes college QBs with superior athletic ability and make them receivers or cornerbacks. The ones who aren't monstrous physical freaks will remain and play QB- the most notable exception being Michael Vick.
The postgraduate position switch is the biggest reason you see a higher percentage of white quarterbacks in the NFL, whereas in the NCAA it's more evenly distributed.

In general the White people are better throwers so they play postions like quarterback, postions where accurate throwing ability is of great importance. So the Blacks focus on the postions where they can get away with not being as accurate. That is why they play things like Running Back and Wide Reciever. They don't need to be as accurate.
Also, Quarterbacking is a more mentally intensive job than most other football positions, and Whites have the higher IQs and can therefore make better judgments about where to throw the ball.

To some of the responses: This is your brain(egg) and this is your brain on drugs(hot frying pan).
Football has always evolved and the best of the best will get the position. The coaches(A Great Coach) don't have the time to think about color when choosing their starting players, it boils down to raw talent. Especially when their jobs are on the line.
There's one goal and that's to win. Theres a new phenomena that I'm noticing that will change football and that is a trend to have a Tall 6'4'' wide receiver, the corner backs that are usually short have no chance covering this guy. So guess what, there will be a demand for tall corners. Football is always evolving and if you want to be the Best you gotta beat the Best. (green, blue, black, white, whatever.... The Best Win Championships!!!!!

Because no tailbacks or cornerbacks are white :)
I think much of it is simply a function of the difference between the college & pro levels. There are thousands of good to great college players who aren't considered NFL prospects because they don't have the physical attributes (height, strength, speed in the 40, vertical leap etc) to even be considered by NFL teams. You're taking such a small percentage of college players that at almost every position the talent pool is reduced to the best of the best.
At almost every other position, athletic ability and numbers in the combine trump almost every other consideration. Offensive linemen must have the requisite size, strength and agility, period. Defensive backs must have the speed and leaping ability to make plays, period. It doesn't matter if a defensive back has supreme play recognition and immediately diagnoses what's going to happen if he runs a 5.2 and can't get there in time.
So teams don't even consider players whose combine numbers fall short of whatever is considered the minimum to play at their position. They'll take a chance on raw athletic talents- there's a chance that a great athlete might learn and improve his game- he might become game-smarter & make better decisions with coaching, but like the old saying goes, "You can't teach tall". If a player coming out of college is perceived as too small or too slow, forget it- he'll almost never get a chance to prove otherwise.
QB is the one position where this emphasis is reversed. Since there premium is on the player's decision making, the pool of talent which gets considered is much larger. Keep in mind that a QB isn't in a one-vs-one competion on every play, having to block defensive linemen, or outrun/outjump defensive backs downfield- so those physical attributes relative to opposing players just aren't as critical- his ability to recognize and deliver the ball is. So it's the one position where guys like Peyton Manning, Tony Romo, Kurt Warner, Marc Bulger etc won't be eliminated from consideration due to their footspeed and lack of mad hops before ever getting a chance to throw.
And many, many college quarterbacks who are marginal pro quarterback prospects but happen to be great athletes, get converted to other positions like wide receiver or defensive back. Look at Antaawn Randle El, Ronald Curry, and Matt Jones (hey a white guy). Given the money at stake- most college kids in that position don't want to gamble on not having a career at all, if they've got a much better shot at making it at some other position. So tons of black college QBs make this switch.
While there are plenty of non-white QBs in the league now (compared to none 30-40 years ago) they still only comprise maybe 30% of the QB population.
While racism was the cause for many, many years I think that's long gone now- probably since the 80s when Randall Cunningham and Doug Williams broke the mold. Now it's more a matter of how the combine numbers dictate everything.

I think it has something to do with the fact that genetically, white people tend to be better at positions that require precision when they're throwing. There are also very few black pitchers in MLB for probably the same reason.

Because the NFL is a secretly racist organization that only allows white people to be quarterbacks. By the way thats sarcasm for those of you who don't know.

Because, unfortunatley, football is a sport for rich little white boys, and most of the rich little white boys start playing earliers that the black kids, even though the black kids are probably a lot more athletic.

Cause most of the center's are white also.
The white QB's don't like rubbing a black guy's butt!
If you factor in NCAA and HS, there probably is a fairly even ratio.
