These are the dimensions that my friend gave me of his new tank and honestly I don't know the formula how to calculate the gallons it can hold. Can someone help my friend please? Thank you in advance.

14.9 gallons, it's the standard 15 gallon tank. If you want to check for yourself here is a tank calculator. http://www.firsttankguide.net/calculator.php

Its a 15 gallon tank.

IN INCHES MULTIPLY L x W x H THEN DIVIDE THAT BY 231 AND YOU GET YOUR ANSWER. 24" X 12" X 12" = 3456/231=14.961 GALLONS. ROUND UP TO 15 GALLONS AND YOU HAVE A STANDARD 15 GALLON LONG.

formula is 2*1*1 = 2 cubic ft.
now convert in to meters
0.6 * 0.3 * 0.3 = 0.054 cubic meter
1 cubic meter have 1000 lts so 0.054 have 54 ltrs water .
now 1 gallon have 5.4 ltr (i think) so u get
54 / 5.4 = 10 gallons
or if 4.5 ltr in a gallon then
54 / 4.5 = 12 gallons

I did it metric, and came to 31.5 gallons
2' x 1' x 1' = 6.1 x 3.05 x 3.05 (dm) = 56.75 liter / 1.8 = 31.5 gallon
I love metrics!
