If you are trying to get pregnant that is a great time to have sex. Otherwise definitley use protection during this time. 14 days after the first day of your last period is when ovulation happens and spem can live inside a womans body for 3 to 5 days. So even if you have sex 3 or 5 days before ovulation, you can still get pregnant.

There really is no such thing as safe sex. Any time you have intercourse, there is a chance to get pregnant. Unless both the man and the woman were virgins until they marry and remain monogamous there is also risk of contracting a sexually transmitted disease. If you want to reduce your risk of becoming pregnant or getting an STD then ALWAYS use a condom every time you have sex. Just be aware that no birth control is 100% effective for preventing pregnancy and condoms are not 100% effective to prevent getting a disease.

Depends on your definition of "safe sex". Unless you and your partner have been in a monogamous relationship since the beginning of your sex lives and have stayed that way, then no it may not be. If you are trying to conceive the time after your period up until the middle of the cycle, becomes less and less safe. The time of your period would be the safest time for unprotected sex as that is when your body is expelling an unfertilized egg. But even then may not be safe if your are attempting to conceive as the body will do what the body will do. Plus you have to remember that sperm cells can live in your body for a couple of days after sex. If you are really trying to concieve, there are several way to increase your chances that both you and your partner will need to participate in. Boxers vs briefs for him is one, immediate withdrawal and you remaining in bed on your back with your legs and pelvis raised is another and sex everyday is not one of them as his batteries need time to recharge. Best of luck for what ever your question is about.

NOT SAFE! I became pregnant 2 days after my period stopped, not all women ovulate at the same time even if their cycle if normal! You can release an egg anytime soon as your period stops, also sperm can live inside you for 3-5 days so no definately not safe!

Accordingly, 5 days before and after a period is safe, but to be 100 % sure, narrow it down to 3 days before and after the period.

It is never safe sex without protection, no such thing. There are no specific, set rules for pregnancy, women have gotten pregnant under circumstances that they thought would never happen. The body has it's own agenda, please use protection, unless you want to conceive.
