For me, it will be when I find my best friend, the man I can totally be myself with, love freely, and then to vow to each other to stay so until death takes one of us. I would say that if someone didn't want to marry you they were NOT truely committed, and were actually holding you hostage, as a way to control you and hurt you. even if they say they think diffrently and say otherwise.Its their own private power struggle.
A form of Abuse, I would say.that individual was scared to commit, and that he waiting to see if things would change, in his favor.

And as far as children go, If you aren't married to the father well he doesn't get the same rights as a married man would. infact to the judge , who knows you only via paper , it looks like he is immature and irresponsible.flakey.

And If one of you were to die then all the things the 2 of you have worked for all these years to build, are not yours.not legally.

so think long and hard before agreeing to a marriageless marriage.
