A lot of students smoke at the entrances of my school and anywhere where there's a window. It's making me sick every day. I complaint to a teacher already, but he says he can't help. Some of us are really bothered!

Thanks

i am surprised to hear that there are still schools out there that haven't banned smoking near schools. in texas, the legal age to buy tobacco products is 18, are we the only ones that have done this?

when i was in HS 15 years ago you couldn't smoke anywhere on the property. we had to go across the street and smoke in an alley. the legal age for purchasing tobacco went into effect when i was 16 or 17.

Write a letter and try to get it in the school newspaper or the local paper. Try to get a petition started. Lucky for you, bans on smoking is kind of a popular issue right now. Last year my school banned people from smoking within 20 feet of buildings.

I hope this is college that you are talking about and not High School.

If it is college talk to the student council about it and see if they can do anything.

If it is a High School talk to the principle or place a call to the school board. If that doesn't work talk to the local authorities because there is obviously about much of minors smoking and the adults aren't doing anything about it

Get the teacher to close the window and complaint to the administration to see if you can get the rules changed. Ask the smokers to move somewhere else.

I would suggest the rules be changed to no smoking on school grounds.
How to do that, can't help not enough info. But that's where I would start.
A letter to the local paper might help and the school board (assuming you have one).
