for european husbands and wives...pls speedy replies?

well if a european husband had an ex gf...and thn he got married...then his wife travelled abroad for a while leaving him alone...then came his ex gf ...and asked him to have dinner together to talk as friends...and he accepted...is this considered cheating for the european culture....also if he kept contact with his ex...saying she is a friend....while she still loves him....but she told him that they r friends....is that ok...can love be friendship..or its a lie...thankx...

If the guy knows that his ex still loves him, he should never go out with her. If they are both just friends and dont have feelings for each other, then i guess its ok to go out but he must first let the wife know and ask her if she doesnt mind them going for dinner as friends. Trust each other is important . If the husband can trust the wife to travel somewhere far , she should have the same amount of trust on him as well.
To make it all simple and safe, never go out with ex, and wife shouldnt allow for tat too. Both sides will be happy.

There seems to be a number of issues here.

1) The wife going abroad without hubby - This would indicate a single married lifestyle.

2) The hubby entertaining the ex - Why would he be having dinner with the ex - Again indicative of a singles married lifestyle.

3) No boundaries - the couple should have clearly defined boundaries in the relationship which either allow for extra marital relationships or not. Either way, they should both be good with the arrangement.

It appears the wife wants to be able to travel abroad by herself and in his mind potentially meet other men (of course only as friends) but not be happy with him doing the same.

Unfortunately in a relationship it is difficult to keep your cake and eat it as well.

It does not mean its smart.
When wife finds out she'll be way angry.
